Studio Policies

WELCOME TO LAMORINDA THEATRE ACADEMY

We are glad you have chosen our studio! This handbook describes our programs, goals and policies.  Please read it carefully and keep it for reference, as it will answer many of your questions.

COMPANY HISTORY

Best friends, Renee DeWeese & Rena Wilson joined forces in 2011 to create Lamorinda Theatre Academy. Renee & Rena have been working with children and building arts programs throughout the Bay Area for over a decade. Now together they have created an Academy that encompasses all that they have learned over the years to bring the Lamorinda community a professional, technique based performing arts program.

COMPANY OBJECTIVE

Renee & Rena believe in the importance of arts education. Both are accomplished artists themselves who value their education and experiences in the arts. Our mission is to cultivate confident individuals through technique-based training in singing, dancing & acting. Along with technical skills, a major aspect of their programing is to teach students about the history of their craft and expose them to the local arts community.

Our instructors are trained to obtain the following standards in every class and program:

1. Safety
2. Security
3. Individual Attention and Encouragement
4. Discipline
5. Organization & Preparation
6. Technique, respect, and history of the craft
